I had the absolute pleasure of second shooting for the incredibly talented Rosie Davison at Katie and Jack’s stunning wedding at Wynyard Hall. It was a sunny day, and the entire celebration was filled with joy, love, and beautiful details.

As a second shooter, I was able to focus on capturing both digital and analogue shots, which was a dream come true for me. The combination of the two formats gave me a unique opportunity to document the day from different perspectives. There’s something about shooting on film that just adds a timeless, nostalgic quality to the photos. I’m excited to share a few moments from Katie and Jack’s special day!

Groom Prep at Wynyard Hall

As a second shooter, I had the opportunity to capture the groom prep, and it was such a fun part of the day! Jack and I decided to take full advantage of the stunning interior at Wynyard Hall, so we set up in the grand library. The rich wood tones, soft light filtering through the windows, and the elegant surroundings made for the perfect backdrop. It was a relaxed atmosphere as Josh and his groomsmen got ready, and I loved capturing those moments of laughter, anticipation, and the final touches before Josh put on his suit. The library’s timeless elegance added such a classy touch to the shots, and it was a great way to contrast the more traditional bridal prep in the main hall.

The Ceremony at Wynyard Hall Chapel

Katie and Josh’s ceremony took place at the stunning chapel on the Wynyard Hall estate. The light streamed through the windows, casting a soft glow over everything. Katie looked absolutely breathtaking as she walked down the aisle in her elegant gown by @justinalexander from @theweddingroomscarborough.

Her look was completed with the most beautiful shoes from @jimmychoo, adding the perfect finishing touch to her outfit. I loved capturing the little moments—her radiant smile, the exchange of vows, and the pure emotion in the air. You could truly feel the love and connection between Katie and Jack.

Reception in the Main Hall

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Main Hall for the reception. The venue was as grand as it was warm, and the florals by @peonyandprimroseflorals really brought it all to life. The soft, romantic colours in the arrangements complemented the venue perfectly, adding a touch of elegance to the day.

The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and lots of dancing! It was a day full of joy, and it was such a privilege to capture these precious moments for Katie and Jack.

Golden Hour Portraits at Wynyard Hall

One of the highlights of the day was definitely the golden hour portraits we captured outside the venue. As the sun began to set, the light was absolutely perfect—soft, warm, and golden. Katie and Josh took a moment to step outside and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Wynyard Hall grounds, and it was the ideal time for some intimate, romantic shots. The golden light bathed them in a beautiful glow, creating a dreamy atmosphere for their portraits. With the stunning backdrop of the estate’s gardens and the soft, fading light, it felt like a perfect, timeless moment. These are the kind of photos that will transport them back to this magical day every time they look at them.
